Many of Wellington’s original settlers were United Empire Loyalists whose descendants still live in the village. In fact, one of Ontario’s oldest homes, built in 1786, is nestled right in town.
Just up the street you can visit the weekly farmers’ market. Stroll the market stands overlooking the lake’s sparkling waters and pick up art, clothing, jewelry, crafts, baked goods, and of course, locally-grown fruits & veg.
